"The room featured two different works, gypsum sculptures and medical adhesive-bonded asphalt, which I combined under one title - 1.999... Both works share my interest in forms. Form is the necessity of a material object. The form can change infinitely, take on an infinite form, and be infinitely varied.
I realized this best when doing sculptures, it amazed me how far I could take the subject in forms. In fact, matter is a very definite concept. The overall title of the works is something of an analogy to me. 1.999.. is the infinite space between two absolutely definite numbers. We know for sure that after 1 comes 2, then 3… However, in reality there is an infinity between each number, i.e. in this case - 1.9999… and we find that we can never go from 1 to 2. This is the paradox, the infinity that exists where it should not exist, as well as the indefinite form of definite matter. This paradox is very romantic for me."
